Build a go-bag with first aid kit, flashlights, batteries, a hand-crank radio, copies of important documents, cash in small bills, and a multi-tool. Keep it accessible and review it annually.
Communication Plan
Establish a family meeting point and an out-of-state contact. Know your local emergency alert systems. Keep a written list of important phone numbers — do not rely solely on your phone.
Power & Shelter
Consider a battery backup or solar generator for essential devices. Know how to safely shelter in place and when to evacuate. Identify your nearest emergency shelter and multiple evacuation routes.
